It was almost 3 years ago that we accurately predicted Grand Blue would receive another season, and it seems, given a recent announcement, that we were right. Strap in as we detail the release date, casting info and all the juicy info related to Grand Blue Dreaming Season 2.
The announcement came first from the official Twitter account for Grand Blue, which we’ve cited before in our previous post predicting Grand Blue season 2.

Complete with a full graphic designed by the artists from the original, the Grand Blue anime is set to return. Here is everything we know so far.
Returning Staff and Studios
The production for Grand Blue Dreaming Season 2 will be handled by Zero-G and Liber, the same studios behind the first season.

Other key staff members returning include Hideoki Kusama as character designer and chief animation director, and Yoichi Ueda as chief animation director.
Yukari Hashimoto will compose the music, while Reiko Kasuga will serve as art director.
Main Voice Cast Reprises Their Roles
Good news for fans of the original cast—everyone from Season 1 is confirmed to be returning for the second instalment. This includes:
- Yuma Uchida as Lori Kitahara
- Ryohei Kimura as Kouhei Imamura
- Chika Anzai as Chisa Kotegawa
- Hiroki Yasumoto as Shinji Tokita
- Katsuyuki Konishi as Ryujiro Kotobuki
- Toa Yukinari as Azusa Hamaoka
- Maaya Uchida as Nanaka Kotegawa
- Kana Asumi as Aina Yoshihara
These characters were really the backbone of the series, having enjoyed all of them, it’s time to see what the story is saying, right guys?
The Story so far
Based on the manga by Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka, Grand Blue Dreaming follows Iori Kitahara, a young man who moves to a seaside town to attend college.
What he envisions as a fresh start quickly turns chaotic when he gets involved with his uncle’s dive shop and the wild, booze-filled antics of the local diving club.

The anime’s first season aired from July to September 2018, receiving positive reviews for its humour and relatable depiction of youthful misadventures.
Since then, fans have eagerly awaited more episodes, and the upcoming second season promises to deliver more of the absurd humour that made Grand Blue a fan favourite.

Though we’ll have to wait a bit longer for an official release date, the return of Grand Blue Dreaming is sure to make a splash.

Silencing old critics
Interestingly something else that came out of this announcement was the vindication of our previous accurate prediction and knowledge that the person who criticised us in our last article was wrong.
The user by the name of “Hash The Nazi” mocked our article, saying that there would never be a second season because the first anime was only to promote the manga and that they disliked sites like ours.
Now it seems really they were the ones in the wrong. Take a look for yourself.
Incredibly, the user even suggested that we would delete his comment, suggesting that were are corrupt in our assumption of the possibility of Grand Blue Dreaming Season 2.
He ended by saying:
