In what some would call an almost predictable outcome of a night allegedly filled with drugs, shouting, and more, popular UK streamer, gym enthusiast, and boxer Ed Mathews smashes his leg, jumping off a minibus while making videos in the UK. The video, which was captured on stream, showed the young star jumping, legs first, onto the pavement below the minibus, with what appeared to be his right leg taking most of the impact.

The video, which is quite brutal in nature, was made even more insane by the fact that one of Ed’s supposed friend said: “ah that’s heavy mate” – referring to Ed’s damaged leg as he groaned in pain on the ride to the hospital.

The stream, continued until they reached the hospital, where it abruptly ended. It promptly resumed a number of hours later, with Ed now lying down in a hospital bed begging for morphine, which seem to have received not soon after.

A look back

The issue is that allegedly Mathews appears to be on cocaine for a number of the streams, and of course this one was no different. This would explain his confidence with jumping off of the roof without any concern for his safety, and the arrogance that he would be able to make the jump down from that height.

During many of the streaming clips from the incident, he can be heard saying he wants the ‘fattest line’ – referring to consuming even more of the snow powder.

When you think about it, it’s easy to understand why his broke, but this was likely due to the notion that he would be able to absorb the impact, when in fact his legs bended, but weren’t able to do the job.

If it had been a normal car or a small van, it is more than likely that he would be able to make the jump with no problems. On this occasion however, this was not the case.

Moving forward

The fact that a few days later Ed was already browsing mobility scooters in a run down shop in Essex, eagerly spotting one for £2,000 and saying he wanted that one, underscored his commitment to streaming and showed everyone that he was not going anywhere.

It’s not unwise to suspect that we can expect to see him again in much higher spirits, with Ed evening writing as a caption on Instagram (in relation to breaking his leg) ‘Gods plan’ – meant that he felt this was all part of his journey as a UK slop streamer.

Yes Ed, it was all Gods plan that you jumped off the roof of a minibus and broke your leg.
