Hajimete no Gal Season 2 May Closer Than You Think

Hajimete no Gal is a very popular Echhi type of Anime. It rose to fame when it was released back in 2017. The Anime was very well received and was a fan favourite among many. In this article, we will be explaining why a Hajimete no Gal Season 2 is likely, and the time it will release.

The Manga for this Anime is still being written and shows no sign of slowing down, with the newest manga edition being released in early 2021. In this article, we’ll be discussing why this is important and what it could mean for a Hajimete no Gal Season 2.

Overview

Hajimete no Gal is a Harem type Anime mixed in with comedy and romance. It also takes some sweet tones as well. The (antagonist) character, Yame, was very well received by fans and she certainly carried the series ahead of where it was meant to go. Junichi the main character is kind of a loser and is not noticed at all but by the girls at school.

That is until his friends set him up so he asked out Yame, by placing a card in her locker without his permission. Unknowingly to him, Yame takes a liking to him when he confesses to her and actually accepts to go out with him.

This moment is amplified when Yame later announces to the whole class that the two of them are now dating. This causes a huge disturbance in the class and everyone is amazed and confused that this is happening! Yame is such a pretty and cool girl, so it’s seen as very odd that she goes out with Junichi given his obvious high school status.

Ending of Hajimete no Gal

Now the ending of Hajimete no Gal was pretty conclusive, with Yame and Junichi ending up together. It’s kind of a happy ending too. It’s not like Scums Wish where the ending is very depressing and the two main characters did not get what they want. Both the main characters got what they wanted.

This may not be a good sign for some of the Anime fans as it may mean that the Anime won’t be continued any longer than it has. However, this may not be the case for many reasons.

The Hajimete no Gal Manga Situation

As of 26th October 2021, there have been 13 Volumes of the Manga written. The good news is that only 5 of the Manga volumes for Hajimete no Gal have been adapted.

As you can see there are still 7 more volumes of the manga to be adapted. As well as this I would also like to add that the Manga is still ongoing. It still has not come to an end and shows no sign of doing so.

Will Hajimete no Gal Season get a season 2?

Hajimete no Gal was a very popular Anime which I enjoyed a lot. Hajimete no Gal got traffic when it came out and this only grew bigger and bigger.

The main character was likeable, the Harem and Fan service action was well received and the antagonist (there mainly are no antagonists in the series) Yukana was a hit with almost everyone who watches the show. As we said before, the Anime has only adapted up to 5 volumes of the Manga, with a special OVA also being released as well.

So with 7 volumes still to be adapted, and with the Manga still ongoing and showing no sign of slowing down, it seems sure that a season 2 of Hajimete no Gal is definitely in line for production. Either by the original production company Jōtarō Ishigami Ichigo Yamada or another eager production company willing to take on the role.

Although it has been a while since the last episode of Hajimete no Gal was released, it certainly doesn’t mean that the Anime will not be continued. Below are 4 main reasons why Hajimete no Gal should get a second:

1. There has been much Anime that has gone on hiatus for long amounts of time. Only to return after a break. Black Lagoon and Full Metal Panic are perfect examples.
2. The Anime adapted 5 volumes of the Manga, while there are still 7 more volumes to be adapted.
3. Even if all the Hajimete no Gal Manga had been covered, it’s still being written to this day.
4. The hype for Hajimete no Gal is there and the want for a Season 2 is very noticeable, a Second Season is a great idea.

For these reasons, we summarise that the second season of Hajimete no Gal is very reasonable and possible.

All the main components for another season to be created are there, with some hope, we should see a second season!

When would Hajimete no Gal Season 2 Release?

CV estimates that the production of Season 2 of Hajimete no Gal will commence once a few more volumes of the Manga have been adapted. At least 1 or 2.

These are the remaining volumes that need to be. There would be no need to adapt all 7, they could start with 5 volumes.

So, since the 7 of the 5 that are needed have been written, then the time for a Season 2 of Hajimete no Gal is quite close. With more than enough content being written to be adapted by the production company, it seems certain that Season 2 will be released around 2025. Maybe even December, as that’s when the OVA was released.

We estimate that Hajimete no Gal season 2 will be released around this time or during 2026.
