Alleged War Criminal Marwan Yassin Ahmed Captured By Syrian Security Forces

In a new update from Syria, an alleged ‘war criminal’ and supposed rebel was captured. The man, named as Marwan Yassin Ahmed was siezed last evening by the General Security Service.

An announcement was made on their Telegram channel who left a dark mention of what was going to happen to him, adding:

The Internal Security Command in Latakia Governorate arrested criminal Marwan Yassin Ahmed, nicknamed “The Uncle,” from the city of Jableh, who is implicated in war crimes. The aforementioned individual is considered one of the military leaders who headed an armed group that participated in targeting army, security, and police forces on the Syrian coast during the attack that occurred on March 6 of this year.

It is unclear if this man really is who the account says he is, however it seems that the person in the photo is clearly a captive, with no result coming when the image is related image searched.

Accompanied with the message of his arrest was a mugshot. He stood just over 180m tall in the photo, wearing a black and white convict uniform.

In the photo, the main looks very tired and likely could be tortured or was tortured leading up to this, as many pro-Assad elements are after the fall of the regime in December last year.
