But who is StacksWopo and how did he become one of the most, if not the most controversial GTA Online streamers at the moment?

StacksWopo started as a humble Twitch streamer innocently uploading gameplay from his adventures in various Grand Theft Auto V Online servers, most of them being gang roleplay servers.

Many of the users on the servers dressed up in black head to toe, wearing chains, hats and tracksuit bottoms just like real gang members from different neighbourhoods from around the U.S.A. such as Chicago, New York or Atlanta for example.

So it’s essentially impossible to find a StacksWopo clip that isn’t about race, with many of his alterations involving race comments and arguments, StacksWopo made a name for himself being known for making racist comments about other players, but usually, these players had black or brown characters.

StacksWopo doesn’t necessarily spout racist rhetoric all the time, but instead racially abuses and mocks other players and streamers within the game, making sure always to highlight their race (if they’re not white) and attack them accordingly.

Interestingly I think most of Stacks’s viral clips are all of him being racist to another player (or a group of players).

He’ll also make comments about them smelling bad, their outfits or anything for that matter. Just rest assured it’ll be as vile as can be if it comes from StacksWopo.

The interesting thing about this is that when he creates these videos he’s almost always doing the voice of a white person. This throws off some of his fans who begin to think he’s white, with the racist comments against black and brown people being even more hateful.

Since he’s never participated in a face reveal with his fans either off or online it’s difficult to know the ethnicity or even region that StacksWopo resides in.

However, he has always stated on streams and in TikTok and YouTube clips that he is white, but again, this is unknown.
It would be wrong to speculate what he looks like, but some fans have even dared to say that popular Rainbow Six Siege streamer Sketch could be StacksWopo, but this is a completely unsubstantiated rumour, which should not be taken seriously.

The interesting thing about StacksWopo is that he is still relatively unknown by more mainstream content consumers and GTA players because he isn’t as mainstream as most people.

This is due to his demonetisation and de-platforming on Twitch, now switching to Kick as they take a less hostile stance to his frequent outbursts.
His TikTok accounts almost always get banned and he has many alt accounts as well as fan accounts his followers have built up.

Reposting his content without fail and building his reputation as an online streamer these accounts fuel his rise in popularity, no matter how downbad his comments about race are.
Stacks seems to be in this limbo state where hell never be mainstream but he’s too big to be considered a small-time streamer. So what’s next for StacksWopo? It’s hard to tell.

The aura of anonymity related to his accounts means it’s hard to attach blame to him as we get fixated on a character in a game rather than a person with a face, and more importantly an identity.
Think of it this way, you know those content creators who don’t show their face and use a mask or filter to hide their identity.
Dream example
A great example is Dream. Dream had built up a huge channel as a Minecraft YouTuber wearing a simple white mask with a smiley face on it for his channel logo and persona.
For years people (normally girls), speculated as to what he looked like. There were leaked face reveals going around all the time, with people fantasising about what Dream could look like.
When he did finally reveal his face in that terrible video released on his channel, he completely lost all of his aurae and he just wasn’t the same anymore.
SunnyV2 made a brilliant video detailing why Dreams face reveal was a horrendous mistake, take a look:
StacksWopo completely encapsulates the dark, edgy, online humour that I saw from the early 2010s onwards and the only reason that he can continue is due to his anonymity, which if jeopardised would destroy his content empire.
There’s no doubt that if he were more mainstream he’d be completely cancelled, although there have been content creators who’ve spouted racist rhetoric before such as Rucka Rucka Ali for example, remember him?
Either way, I’d say that his time on platforms like Kick and TikTok is limited anyway, but who knows these days right?
