“Slice of Life” anime is defined mainly as stories and situations which are not normal in their initial appearance but plausible in real life. Some people have trouble understanding what this means, and we can’t really offer up an explanation because that’s not why you’re here. Nevertheless, we’re going to be going over (in our opinion) the Top 10 Slice of Life Anime To Watch on Netflix. Once again, this is just our opinion and nothing more. If you enjoy reading this and find it useful, please give it a like or share it. We have included in this list series that are dubbed as well as subbed ones as well.
10. Forest of Piano (2 Seasons, 12 Episodes Each)

Shuhei’s father is a famous pianist.
Their chance meeting transforms their lives and music. There are currently 2 seasons of Forest of Piano, with 12 episodes in the first season and another 12 in the second. 8. Kakegurui (2 Seasons, 12 Episodes Each)

We’ve already featured Kakegurui on our Top 10 Spanish Dubbed Anime To Watch On Netflix post, but Kakegurui follows the story of a school called Hyakkaou Academy, which is centred around gambling and the matches and games the students have to take part in during the series.
It walks the line regarding the Slice of Life genre. The main character is Ryota Suzui, a student at the same academy as Yumeko Jabami, a similar student with an unhealthy obsession with gambling. She aims to take on the student council and beat them in an open gambling match, but she will need some assistance if she is going to do this. It’s a very fast-paced and tense anime with a lot at stake in terms of gambling prizes and forfeits. It’s worth your time if you haven’t watched.
The story mostly follows these two characters and a whole host of other characters. If you haven’t already watched, we would suggest you give Kakegurui a go as it’s very addictive once you watch the first episode, perfect for binge-watching.
There is currently an English, European Spanish, French and Brazilian Portuguese dub available to watch, as well as the Japanese original and Japanese audio description.

Rei Kiriyama (Ryunosuke Kamiki) is a 17-year-old shogi (Japanese chess) player. He debuted as a professional shogi player when he was in middle school. He lives by himself in Tokyo because his parents and younger sister died in a traffic accident when he was young.

5. A Silent Voice (Movie, 1h 9m)

Every character was drawn with such detail and effort that you could really see a lot of hard work went into the production of this movie. The voice acting was pretty good, and I couldn’t think of any problems with it. It’s quite a cartoon-like movie, but it does have its emotional moments as well, and this helps to enforce the romantic element of it as well.
The story goes as follows: A Silent Voice is a very touching story about a deaf girl and her former bully. After being bullied in school for simply being deaf and different, the main character, Shoukou, comes face-to-face with her former bully, Shoya.
After some reconciliation, Shoya decides to make it up to Shoukou and reach out to her. He feels remorseful about the way he treated her, because of this, he feels unworthy of redemption, but still wants to make things right. Will Shoya be forgiven for his actions? And will he be able to make it up to her? We’d recommend you give this a go as it’s very sweet and the movie is quite long, over 2 hours.
If you want more on this movie, you can read our article on A Silent Voice. There is currently an English dub, a Spanish dub and the Japanese original audio. There are also English, Spanish, French and Brazilian subtitles. So, make sure you check out this Slice of Life Anime to watch on Netflix.
4. Toradora! (1 Season, 25 Episodes)

Toradora has become a very popular choice in the anime romance genre, with many people using this series as their starting point. There is a reason for this. Toradora has a pretty good story, in my opinion, with new characters and other sub-stories being added in as the story progresses.
The story follows mainly a group of students in a school, and more closely Taiga and Ryuuji, who start off their relationship by agreeing to help each other with their other personal love interests. Will they start to love each other, though? There is currently an English dub available as well as English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
3. Teasing Master Takagi-san (1 Season, 12 Episodes)

Teased constantly by classmate Takagi-san, middle-schooler Nishikata swears payback by trying (and failing) to give her a dose of her own medicine. This seems to be a very popular anime on Netflix with a European Spanish, French, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese and English dub, as well as a Japanese audio description.
There are also English, French, Polish and Japanese subtitles. For some reason, only the second season is available on Netflix. This is most likely because their licence ran out for the first season, so if you want to watch the first season, you will have to watch it somewhere else.
2. Only Yesterday (1h 59m)

Unmarried career woman Taeko Okajima (Miki Imai) takes her first extended trip outside her native Tokyo when she travels to rural Yamagata to visit her sister’s family during the annual safflower harvest.
On the train, Taeko daydreams about her pre-adolescent self. As her vacation progresses, she has extended flashbacks about the frustrations and small pleasures of her childhood, and wonders if her stress-filled adult life is what the young Taeko would have wanted for herself.
1. Monthly Girls – Nozaki-kun

We would say Monthly Girls Nozaki-kun is the most slice-of-life anime-related series on Netflix available to watch. Sakura and Nozukai meet Mikoshiba’s friend Kashima, a popular girl. Meanwhile, Sakura tries to discover the identity of the manga’s background artist, whom she is very interested in.
The series does take some time to get into, much like Toradora and Clannad, but sports a much happier feel to it.
While the popular manga is being produced, Sakura tries to discover who the background artist is, as she seems to be fascinated by it and the person who created it.
There is currently 1 season with 12 episodes. There is also a Spanish dub, a Brazilian Portuguese dub, an English dub and of course the Japanese original audio. There are also Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish and English subtitles as well.
