Revy, whose real name is Rebecca is a resident of Roanapur in Thailand and has been living there for at least 5 years. In the show, she’s in her late 20s or early 30s and is in the Dutch crew, known as the Lagoon Company. Revy is a master of hand-to-hand combat, using two Berretta handguns with both of her hands. With a holster on each side of her, she is a formidable opponent in action anime and is responsible for many different deaths and killings during her time on screen. Overview
In Black Lagoon, Revy is a very important character, if not the main character alongside Rock.
In the 3 seasons, we get off Black Lagoon Revy plays an integral part in all of them. With her rude and aggressive stance on most things and her ever-changing nature, Revy is quite a polarising figure for many fans, myself included.

Appearance and Aura
Revy appearance is eye-catching but familiar. Given that she looks very similar to another character who appeared in video games just a few years before the release of Black Lagoon which is of course Lara Croft from Tomb Raider.

Did the creator of Black Lagoon take some inspiration from Tomb Raider? Well, I’d hope so, as it would be a very unfortunate coincidence otherwise.
Her eyes are wild and crazed, and her dark red hair is nothing short of enthralling, and whenever she is on screen it’s quite hard to look away.
She gives off a bad and corrupt aura and with those eyes, it’s not hard to get sucked into her character.
Personality
Revy is rude and abrasive to almost anyone she’s on-screen with and certainly Rockuro, who we’ve covered here: Rock Character Profile.
She always responds in a rude or unhelpful way and is generally an unlikable person to be around. I think her cocky attitude to most things comes from her ability to kill people and make money, both abilities she’s very good at.

If you walk into an establishment and know that you could kill anyone there quite easily and likely get away with it, you’d have an inflated vision of yourself.
History
Revy’s history in Black Lagoon starts in the first episode and carries on all throughout.
We are first treated to her when she appears in the first episode when Rock ship is hijacked by the Dutch and the Lagoon Company who are essentially modern pirates.
With a gun in his face, Rock wakes up to the fact he is being robbed and his boat taken captive. In Black Lagoon this is mainly where her story begins.
Character arc
In black Lagoon Revy’s character arc isn’t there because she remains the same in the anime. There is an obvious change with Rock, as he changes because of what he’s been exposed to.

Character significance in Black Lagoon
Revy’s character significance is very important in Black Lagoon. She’s the second main character alongside Rock and gets a lot more screen time than some of the other characters.
