Official response
Pakistan’s Information Minister, Attaullah Tarar, responded to the viral video by stating, that the man survived the fall and sustained only minor injuries, countering rumours of his death circulating on social media.
The minister said the man was ‘making a TikTok’ not praying, and accused opposition supporters of spreading misinformation about the Islamabad protest. He emphasised that the government would prosecute those involved in violence during the protests.

The incident occurred during mass demonstrations led by supporters of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party.
