Spirited Away 2 is a very hot topic and many fans really do want to see a second movie. So will a Spirited Away 2 movie be possible?
What was the Spirited Away 1 plot?
To understand Spirited Away 2 we have to look back at the previous movie’s plot. The entire narrative centers on the characters Haku and Chihiro. As they journey towards their new home, ten-year-old Chihiro and her parents take a wrong turn, leading them to an abandoned village.

During her journey, Chihiro encounters Haku, who possesses the ability to transform into a dragon. Ultimately, Chihiro decides to leave Haku temporarily in her quest to return her parents to the real world. Before parting ways, they both make a heartfelt promise to reunite in the future.
Will there ever be a Spirited Away 2?
This may look like a hard question to answer, in truth, it just takes some research and investigation to be able to determine if there will be a Spirited Away 2. It depends mostly on if there is content to be adapted and if it would be worthwhile for a production company.

Spirited Away is a very popular movie with many different fans from around the world. It has more of a solid and wider fan base than more niche anime and certainly would be a good investment.
There have been 3 volumes and many more, so it is more than possible that a new production company or the original one could take up this responsibility.
We would say that Spirited Away 2 is unlikely, but could happen if the right opportunities present themselves. It really is up to them and them only to cross their fingers and hope that they decide to revive this brilliant movie.
Spirited Away 2 release date
Given what we have mentioned, I would say for sure that the Spirited Away 2 release date would be anywhere from 2025 to 2026. Most likely if a Spirited Away 2 was going to happen, it would release at the earliest in 2024. However, given there have been no announcements, I would say that it is likely to be released in 2025 if there is one.
