In a rather bizare but all too common video, we saw a young girl punch an older woman in the face after she tried to put her hand into her purse, only being stopping once she received a blow to the face, followed by more strikes. Captured in the shocking footage labelled as “Thief Punched On Camera,” the woman then recoiled and retreated from the train as the girl cried out and tried to strike her again.

The caption read: “got punch the fuck up” and was filmed on Snapchat, likely reposted to someones story and screen recored.
It’s unclear if the woman was hurt badly, but she appeared shaken from the event, and most likely did not expect that response from the girl.
Many agreed with the girl
The sad thing seemed to be that even though the woman was punched several times, people in the comments had little sympathy for her.
This is to be expected, but we did not see the events leading up to the crime, and therefore should not make assumptions about the people in the video.

One thing is clear, the violence used on the woman was horrible and inexcusable. It should not be tolerated.
