What does Alan Reet, grafted Surrons, and a skinny US TikTok college student have in common? Well it’s hard to say, but that doesnt stop creators from making detaild TikTok edits of them. Over the past 5 months, and emerging trend has been taking over TikTok. More specifically, a smaller, niche side of TikTok related Charvas, Surrons, copper wire, and purple paint it would seem.

Originating from the account by the name of Mitchell Sercombe, (@mitchellsercombe on TikTok), the plot involves dark matter objects, or ‘tools’ as they’re referred to, with a grated ‘dark matter’ surron also being mentioned.

It’s quite difficult to pint point where these videos started spaffing onto my FYP, but really they were quite confusing at first. Here’s the latest.

Another video shows the man leaning over with what he calls ‘dark matter tools’ before a song plays, which is also related to the niche.

In January 2025, things really started to take off, as Vuncle205 joined the scene. Of course now, Vuncle had been posting videos for far longer than this, and really, had been made aware of this niche sub-culture beforehand.

How did Vuncle find out about Charvgartha?

Vuncle205 seems to have found out about Charvgartha on the 2nd of January 2025, maybe a few days before. It’s obvious he stumbled upon a Charva TikTok edit and went down a rabbit hole, leading to his fascination with the niche.

Many of the videos showcase different figures from underground UK meme-culture, as well as criminal figures like Roal Moat, working class young people like DJ Alfie Cridland and of course the UK, TikTok begging, dysfunctional, losers like Simple Simon, Ryan Windridge and Niv all make appearances. Jamie G and tons of young men with slick back hair is all you’ll find with these videos. However, I implore you to watch them.

Vuncle205’s first ever Charvgartha TikTok

The video below shows his first ever video professing his interest in Charvgartha and his questions about Danny G and so on. It’s honestly a thrilling watch. See below.

Interestingly, one of the comments reads:

Clearly, the commentor thinks that it’s just not possible that a yank would know or even care about Charvgartha. It would seem though that this is where nyalreet is wrong.

Vuncle205’s videos continued and he started to build a small buy loyal fanbase he slowly began to flock to his channel ,which has been posting normal everyday-type videos since 2023, none connected to Charvgartha.

The videos continued, with Vuncle205 learning more and more about Charva’s and their way of life.

With each video he’s posted, it’s gained thousands of likes, because this American is just so funny to English people.

The fact that this kid is able to pick up the slang and random references related to well known figures like Danny G.

Another reason his account kept growing was his attention to question comments.

More importantly the ones asking him to buy items related to British sub-culture like the Belcher chain, Monterex tracksuit, Pyrimid ring, Scouse Trim and more, all of which Vuncle205 has adopted into persona, slowly growing all the more likable, but still remaining respectable.

He also when he’s bought new items, like this time when he made a video about when his Belcher chain would arrive.

This video shows him rubbing purple paint over his skin, which is a reference to ‘dark matter’ shit we talked about before.

Asking you follower to comment on what you should get next gives users a reason to flock back to his channel.

This genius idea means he’s never having to create shitty slop content, as all he needs to be do is play into the character that his British counterparts are creating for him.

It’s a masterful thing to watch really. As we get to see this loverly american middle class college boy get transformed into a copper stealing, surron grafting, belcherchain-wearing Chrarva that the US has ever seen.

The comments also make for a great read, as the majority of them are asking him to come to Bradford when he hits follower milestones.

Which seems like a lovely deal given Bradfords top rating among UK cities.

“Born to be Charvra forced to be American” – I mean that’s just hilarious. What kind of yank is going to profess their love for european working class sub-culture, let alone an UK one.
