7. Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions (1 Season, 13 Episodes)

Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions

The story and tone of Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusion is a pretty weird but straight forward one. It follows a group of students who form a club known as the napping club. The two main characters, Yuta and Rikka both join after realising their interests are similar. Basically, Chunibyo is a state of immaturity that some children such as Rikka aren’t able to let go of. Rikka still acts like a child, expressing her fantasies and imaginary behaviour to all her classmates. Yuta, the main character is sympathetic to Rikka as it’s revealed that he acted like this, as he also had Chunibyo until he grew out of it. The relationship progresses between these two and they start a relationship as a result. We would recommend this because. of its availability and the fact that there is a second season which is all from the perspective of Rikka. As well as this, there is also a full-length movie which concludes the love story between Yuta and Rikka. There is currently an English dub as well as the Japanese original audio as well as Japanese and English subtitles.

5. Love Chunibyo & Other Delusions – Rikka Version (Movie 1h 30m)

This movie is the same to the original series but different in the fact that it follows the perspective of Rikka very closely. It follows the perspective of Rikka as she deals with the realities of love, friendship and imaginaton. There isn’t that much different from the original series ad there are some additional scenes that are quite interesting and funny. When we say through the perspective of Rikka we mean through her magical fantasy type vision perspective. We would urge you to give this a go if you’ve already seen the original series. 2. Toradora! (1 Season, 25 Episodes)

Toradora

Toradora has become a very popular choice of the anime romance genre with many people using this series as their starting point. There is a reason for this. Toradora has a pretty good story in my opinion, with new characters and other sub stories being added in as the story progresses. The story follows mainly a group of students in a school and more closely Taiga and Ryuuji who start off there relationship by agreeing to help each other with there other personal love interests. Will they start to love each other though? There is currently an English dub available as well as English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.

1. A Silent Voice (Movie, 2h 9m)

A Silent Voice

A Silent Voice is the top choice on our list because of many reasons. First of all the movie looked amazing, down to every last detail. Every character was drawn with such detail and effort, you could really see a lot of hard wok went into the production of this movie. The voice acting was pretty good and I couldn’t think of any problems with it. It’s quite a-cartoon like movie but it does have its emotional moments as well and this helps to enforce the romantic element of it as well. The story goes as follows:

A Silent Voice is a very touching story about a deaf girl and her former bully. After being bullied in school for simply being deaf and different, the main character, Shoukou, comes face to face with her former bully, Shoya. After some reconciles Shoya decides to make it up to Shoukou and reach out to her. He feels remorseful around the way he treated her, because of this he feels unworthy of redemption but still wants to make things right. Will Shoya be forgiven for his actions? And will he be able to make it up to her? We’d recommend you give this a go as it’s very sweet and the movie is quite long, over 2 hours. If you want some more on on this movie you can rad our article on A Silent Voice here. There is currently an English dub, a Spanish dub and the Japanese original audio. There are also English, Spanish, French and Brazilian subtitles.
